Our Journey
Established in 1974, Century Signs & Awnings began its journey as a small awning company. Over the years, we've grown and diversified to offer a comprehensive range of services to our valued clients.
Inception

Ancient Mariner Industries
Gary Taylor acquired Ancient Mariner Industries and embarked on a journey to establish our presence in the Lower Mainland. We were dedicated to the sale and production of Awnings Products, operating from our facility on East 5th Avenue in Vancouver.
Stitching Specialists
Capitalizing on our extensive experience in cutting and sewing, the company diversified into the realm of Industrial Fabrics, specifically focusing on juvenile products, life jackets, and safety gear.

Lighting It Up
As technology and tools advanced, we seamlessly integrated backlighting and graphics into our product range. This transformation marked the company's evolution into a comprehensive signage provider, covering a wide array of signage solutions.
Century Signs & Awnings
With a complete shift in the company's focus towards all forms of signage, the organization underwent a transformation, adopting the name Century Sign Systems Ltd and relocating to one of its present address at 8125 130th Street in central Surrey.

Hello Squamish!
Inspired by the extensive projects during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the company determined that establishing a Squamish location would enhance its capacity to efficiently manage all production and fieldwork demands within the Sea-to-Sky region.
Bigger Team, More Seats
As we optimize our product delivery through the establishment of two production facilities and the expansion of our installation teams, our team expanded by twofold. In the same year, our fleet of vehicles grew to five, enabling us to accelerate project turnaround times significantly.
